Dr. Victoria Gandarillas was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and is proud to serve families in the community she calls home. From an early age, she was drawn to working with children and helping others feel comfortable and cared for. Pediatric dentistry became the perfect path to combine her love of education, prevention, and creating meaningful, positive experiences for young patients.

Dr. Gandarillas earned her dental degree from Nova Southeastern University before completing her pediatric dentistry residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Her advanced training focused on child development, behavior guidance, and comprehensive pediatric dental care for infants, children, and adolescents.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of pediatric dental care and continued professional excellence. With five years of experience in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Victoria brings both modern clinical training and heartfelt compassion to every appointment.

Dr. Victoria has a strong passion for educating children about oral health in ways that feel engaging and empowering. She believes that when children understand why dental care matters—and when they associate visits with positive experiences—they are more likely to develop lifelong healthy habits. Seeing a child smile confidently after a comfortable appointment is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

When working with anxious children, Dr. Victoria uses the Tell-Show-Do (TSD) technique, a proven behavior guidance method that helps reduce fear by explaining procedures in simple terms, demonstrating them, and then gently performing the treatment. She approaches each child with kindness and patience, ensuring they feel safe and respected throughout the visit.

Communication with parents is equally important to her. Dr. Victoria believes in active listening, empathy, and thorough explanations. She wants parents to feel heard and fully informed so they can make confident decisions about their child’s care. She often reassures families by sharing that she treats every child the same way she would treat her own daughter—with genuine care, attentiveness, and protection.

Dr. Victoria chose to practice at Jacaranda Smiles because of its strong family atmosphere and deep roots in the local community. Living in the area, she values being surrounded by—and serving—the wonderful families who make South Florida such a special place. She appreciates the practice’s welcoming environment and collaborative team culture, which creates memorable experiences for both children and parents.

Outside of the office, Dr. Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband, her college sweetheart, and their beautiful daughter. She loves being at the beach, enjoying mint chocolate chip ice cream, and watching football. She has a twin sister and previously played flag football, experiences that shaped her competitive spirit and appreciation for teamwork.
