Dr. Rene Landa was born and raised in South Florida as the only child of Cuban and Puerto Rican parents. Growing up in the community he now serves has shaped his strong connection to families and his understanding of the values parents look for in a trusted pediatric dentist. From an early age, Dr. Landa was known for being comfortable around children and enjoyed coaching and mentoring—traits that naturally guided him toward pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Landa earned his dental degree from the University of Florida before completing advanced specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Boston University. His education and training provided a strong clinical foundation while reinforcing the importance of patience, empathy, and communication when caring for children.

With more than a decade of experience in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Landa has developed a care philosophy rooted in honesty, compassion, and ethical decision-making. He believes the best care comes from asking a simple question: “What would I want for my own children?” This mindset guides every recommendation he makes and ensures families are presented with clear options—never pressure.

Dr. Landa approaches anxious or hesitant children by meeting them where they are emotionally. He sees his role as a coach—helping children work through difficult moments with encouragement, reassurance, and trust. By allowing children to feel heard and respected, he helps transform fear into confidence over time.

His goal is to reassure parents that they are making the right choices while supporting them with clarity and compassion.

Dr. Landa chose to practice at Jacaranda Smiles because the practice shares his philosophy of ethical, patient-first care. He values the team’s commitment to putting children and families above all else, creating an environment where comfort, trust, and long-term relationships matter.

Outside of the office, Dr. Landa is a devoted husband and father of two children, Niko and Brianna. He lives an active lifestyle and enjoys competing in triathlons, marathons, adventure races, and other sports. He also loves outdoor activities and spending quality time with his family—often singing along with his wife and kids. His energy, discipline, and warmth carry into his work with children every day.
