FAQ

What is the best age to visit the orthodontist for the first time? 

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a child have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7. We offer free consultations will gladly monitor your child’s jaw development to recommend the most opportune time to initiate treatment.

What happens during the new patient exam?

You’ll meet our friendly team and we’ll take X-rays and records. We’ll discuss treatment and financial options and will tailor them to your needs. If you’re ready to start on the same day, we can often accommodate same day braces as an added convenience.

Do braces hurt?

Braces typically do not hurt. You may feel a small amount of discomfort at first as your teeth, gums, cheeks, and mouth get used to the new braces. Eating soft foods or taking an over-the-counter pain reliever can help with any initial discomfort.

Can I be too old for braces?

Not at all! As long as your gums and teeth are healthy, anyone can get braces or more discrete options like Invisalign.
